    Population Served: Children from birth through 21 who may have special needs and are not enrolled in school, with emphasis on children ages 3 through 5

    Description: Child Find is part of the statewide FDLRS network which provides support services to children with special needs. Children may be referred by parents, physicians, community agencies, day care centers, or others, for any of the following services:

    Screening for possible delays in speech, language, developmental readiness skills, hearing, vision, motor, or behavioral problems.

    Assistance in placing children with special needs in appropriate educational programs.

    Resource information for children with special needs.

    Professional consultation for parents.
