CHILD FIND

Description:

FDLRS/Child Find assists in locating and identifying any child birth through 21 who has special needs and is not enrolled in school.  Services include developmental screening for preschool children, assistance in placing children in appropriate educational programs, information about community resources, and professional consultation for parents and others.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT

Description:

FDLRS/Human Resources Development provides in-service training programs and assistance for personnel serving exceptional students.  The FDLRS Media Center has a vast array of materials for checkout as well as a wide range of research capabilities.

PARENT SERVICES

Description:

FDLRS/Parent Services assists parents of exceptional students with training opportunities and information about parent support groups and community resources.  Parent Services works with individual parents, parent organizations, and School Districts to develop collaborative relationships.

TECHNOLOGY

Description:

FDLRS/Technology assists parents and teachers with the selection and use of computers, software, and assistive devices appropriate for exceptional students.
