Families with visually
impaired children from birth to 16 years of age; children must
have a bilateral visual pathology that is a substantial impediment
to learning. |

Core services are parent education,
information and referral, and advocacy services. |

Limited funds are available for glasses,
low vision aids, and/or training materials. |

Preschool vision services are contracted
for children in areas where these services are not available. |

The Children’s Specialist assists
in transition from school to work. |

The Children’s Specialist works
closely with families transitioning from the Early Intervention
Program to school-based instruction. |

The Division will sponsor a portion
of the cost for those wishing to attend the Florida Lions Camp
in Lake Wales, Florida. |
